About the
Albuquerque Girl Choir
Founded in 1991, the Albuquerque Girl Choir exists to provide a positive, joyful musical experience for girls in an upbeat and encouraging atmosphere.
Through vocal training, music fundamentals, and performance, our members develop self-confidence, personal growth, and a lifelong love of music.
AGC is open to any girl in grades 2–12 who loves to sing - no audition required.
Our Choirs
Elementary Choir
Youth Choir
The Elementary Choir, grades 2-5, builds a strong musical foundation in rhythm, pitch, vocal expression, and part-singing.
Through a diverse repertoire - including classical, contemporary, gospel, folk, patriotic, seasonal, and world music - girls develop music-thinking skills, the discipline of blending voices, and the confidence to perform.
It's a fun, welcoming space for singers of every level!
The Youth Choir, grades 6-12, is an opportunity for singers who are ready for a greater musical challenge.
Members of this group take their musicianship further by deepening vocal technique, exploring music theory, and performing more demanding repertoire.
The Youth Choir also emphasizes leadership development, helping members grow not just as singers but as role models within the ensemble.
Both choirs will learn joint repertoire to perform together, in addition to their individual repertoire.

Performances
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at
First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St NE, Albuquerque
Elementary Choir: 5:30-6:30pm
Youth Choir: 5:30-7:00pm
Performance is central to our mission.
We aim to schedule a minimum of four performances per semester.
Past performance highlights include the American Boy Choir, U.S. Naval Academy Women's Glee Club, Tucson Girl Choir, ABQ Boy Choir, ABQ Youth Symphony, as well as appearances at the ABQ Botanical Garden's River of Lights, the Balloon Museum's Children's Festival, Isotopes Baseball Games, United Soccer Matches, and local retirement centers.
